Having a podcast is a fun and exciting way to grow your website traffic and connect with your customers. Just like your website, a podcast still needs to be marketed so people will find it. If you create a podcast and just stick it on the internet, it won’t attract much traffic.
You have many choices when it comes to marketing your podcast. One way to market your podcast and grow your list at the same time is to keep your podcast private. Simply set up a mailing list within your autoresponder for the subscribers to your podcast, and include the sign up link on your website.

First things first- you heed to have high quality podcast content. Your listeners will come back if your information is helpful and/or entertaining. As a podcaster, you have the option of monetizing your podcast by accepting commercials and sponsorships. This can be a nice way to diversify your income stream. There are several ways to get your advertising message across. You can choose to deliver the advertising message yourself. However, If you deliver the message, your listeners may not be able to distinguish the difference between your podcast and the advertising.
You might also have the advertiser themselves record and deliver the message. Sometimes having the advertiser record the message works very well, but sometimes it doesn’t. If the person has an accent, it may be difficult for your listeners to understand what they are saying. Or, you may find the speaker is soft spoken and difficult to hear. An advertiser may not want to or be comfortable recording the advertisement.
